Adventure

We enjoy traveling outside of our local area. During the spring we go to New England Dragway to watch the NHRA races. It’s a day filled with fun with friends followed by tailgating for lunch and snacks. In the summer we stay at a cabin in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where we go hiking, sightseeing and, if it is hot enough, we’ll take a swim in the lake. Throughout the summertime we’ll go to the campground where we join Jason’s brother Aaron, sister-in-law Alissa and two nephews for outdoor fun, grilling, swimming, and relaxing by the fire-pit.

Hiking

We love going hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. There are many trails of all levels and breathtaking views of the beauty of nature as we take in the crisp air.  All the summits and waterfalls overlooking the valleys are amazing. We’ll pause for a snack and sometimes a swim in the clear waters of a river or lake on a hot summer day.  We are looking forward to sharing these experiences someday soon with our child so that he or she too can take in all that nature has to offer right alongside us.

Camping

We cherish our visits to Jason's brother's campground in Wareham. Loading up the golf cart, we head to the lakeside beach for swimming, relaxing and joining the nephews on the splash pad. Evenings are spent at Aaron and Alissa's camper where we dine on slow-cooked meals from Aaron's smoker. As dusk falls, we gather firewood for a campfire, enjoying S'mores and telling stories under the stars. Excitedly, we anticipate sharing these moments with our child, fostering family connections amidst nature's beauty.

Drag Races

Another reason we love New Hampshire is our yearly pilgrimage to New England Dragway for the NHRA drag races. We start the day early, packing our cooler with drinks and food, and hit the road. We love the Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters. Watching these machines go over 300 mph in under 4 seconds is truly thrilling. Between races we walk the pits, visiting vendors and watching the teams prepare the cars, then head back to the car for lunch. We are eager to include our child, when they are old enough, in this tradition for years to come.
