Home Projects
In warmer weather, Jason and I enjoy outdoor activities like gardening and DIY projects. We built our own vegetable garden and flower beds together, and painted Adirondack chairs with our favorite Boston sports teams. While Jason often handles heavier tasks, we see our accomplishments as joint efforts. He replicated a three-tier flower bed I saw in a Lowe’s ad, and I planted the flowers. We're eager to pass on these skills to our future child.
We love planting
Jason and I cultivate a decent-sized garden together, planting a variety of vegetables annually. We frequently enjoy cucumber and tomato salads with our dinners during harvest season. Our compost surprises us each year; once, we grew a sugar pumpkin in time for Halloween. I adore planting flowers, especially daisies, but any vibrant bloom suits our three-tier garden bed that Jason crafted. We look forward to passing on our gardening passion to our child, eager to share the joy of digging in the dirt together.
Painted chairs
While dating, Jason and I cherished weekends sipping coffee on Adirondack chairs. Now homeowners, we painted two chairs in New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox colors as a joint project. On a sunny day, we painted each section on our deck while enjoying music. After adding team decals, we proudly use them in our backyard. Delighted with the outcome, we plan to paint a child-sized chair in Boston Bruins colors to share our sports passion with our future child. It’s a small way to bond over our favorite teams and create memories together.
Our home
After the outdoor chores are done, we transform our space into a summer oasis. Adorning our deck are rockers with red cushions, a homemade table by Jason, and a couple of purchased end tables, all surrounded by potted flowers. A sail shade provides comfort, while rope lights along the railing create a cozy ambiance for relaxation, snacks, and drinks. We affectionately call it our summertime paradise, perfect for enjoying fresh air. We eagerly anticipate sharing this space with our child, imagining them playing, crafting, or simply enjoying snacks and juice on sunny days. It's where family memories are made.
